CMM Inspection

Every part is measured against the original design, not eyeballed. We run first article inspection on the coordinate measuring machine, then keep verifying through the production run. Our quality assurance team reviews the measured result against your drawing before anything ships.

Tactile probing handles precise features and datums, while laser scanning captures complex formed surfaces at high throughput, so challenging geometry gets measured properly, not approximated.

Two coordinate measuring machines and a portable scanner, backed by metrology software for measurement and reporting. The LK Altera adds Nikon laser scanning for complex form and surface work, and the HandySCAN 700 goes to parts that are too large or fixtured in place to bring to the CMM.

3D Scanning & Heat Maps

For complex formed parts, we use 3D scanning to generate colour deviation maps against the nominal CAD model. Overlaying CAD on the scan shows exactly where a surface runs high or low, in minutes, with scan accuracy to 0.03 mm (0.0012 in). The same scanning also lets us reverse engineer parts back to CAD when the drawings or tooling are long gone.
